About Us

Oldham and Royton Harriers & Athletic Club was founded in 1898. As a club we are devoted to local athletics and the promotion of sporting excellence within our community. Our friendly, family atmosphere makes athletics an enjoyable, healthy, group activity where athletes can reach their full potential. Whether you are a young athlete with aspirations to compete in the olympics or wish to return to sport to get fit we have a group for you. To view the Club's constitution just click  Here

Training Nights

The Club meets on Monday and Thursday evenings between 18.45 and 20.30 at the Radclyffe Sports Centre.          

Benefits of joining

By joining one of our training groups you can train at a rate you are happy to work and continue to gradually build your fitness and technique to achieve your individual goals.

The Coaches

Our coaching staff is made up of voluntary coaches both male and female. Each coach is qualified through the UK:A Athletics Coach Education Scheme and hold a valid CRB certificate. They coach groups of athletes aged from 10 years of age right up to groups of senior athletes of any age.

Facilities

The club is based at Radclyffe Sports Centre were we have both an outdoor 400m track and indoor 60m track. These facilities allow us to cover every track and field event throughout the year.

Competition

The club takes an active part in cross-country, road running and track and field athletics in several different leagues. Through the various age groups we encourage individuals to compete for both themselves and as part of a team.
